What we do.

Seven jobs, three crews. St. Louis County and Kansas City take hail most springs; Spring and The Woodlands take hurricane wind most summers. Everything below is built for that: ice and water shield in every valley, six nails a shingle, ridge vent on every replacement.

Ask about your roof
  • New roof installationNew builds and additions from the decking up: drip edge, ice and water shield, synthetic underlayment, architectural shingles and ridge vent, in the colour you pick.
  • Roof replacementFull tear-off, then architectural shingles from the major brands. A single-story ranch in Kirkwood or Klein is usually closed up in one day.
  • Roof repairLifted ridge caps, cracked pipe boots, chimney flashing that let go, a slope that shed shingles in a wind. Fixed the same week, patch matched to the roof.
  • Roof maintenanceA yearly walk: exposed nail heads resealed, valleys and gutters cleared, boots and flashing checked, and a short written report with photos for your records.
  • Hail and wind damage inspectionAfter a storm, with your permission, we go up, photograph every slope and show you what we found. You get the photos and a written estimate for your records, and you decide what to do with them.
  • Emergency tarpingWhen a storm opens a roof, a crew tarps the exposed decking the same day or the next morning so the inside stays dry until the repair is done.
  • Gutters5-inch and 6-inch seamless aluminum, run on site and hung the day the roof is finished, with downspouts placed where the water should go.

Will this roof still be tight in ten years, and will the company still answer the phone?

The roof. Every replacement gets ice and water shield at the eaves and in every valley, synthetic underlayment, a ridge vent with matching soffit intake, and architectural shingles from the major brands. The manufacturer's warranty is registered in your name before we leave, and our workmanship warranty is on the last page of the estimate, in writing. [Workmanship warranty term: Todd to confirm.]

The company. Legendz Roofing answers at three numbers, (314) 379-7327 in Sunset Hills, (816) 280-4050 in Kansas City and (281) 305-8110 in Spring, and Todd Brown owns all three offices. Thirty years in the trade is the figure on the current site; the founding year goes here once he confirms it.

The paper. We keep the photo set from your roof walk and the itemized estimate in your file, and you keep your own copy for your records. When you call in year eight about a drip at the chimney, the office already knows what is up there, what it was installed with, and who installed it.

Thirty years on roofs. Three offices. One owner.

Legendz Roofing works out of Sunset Hills in St. Louis County, out of Kansas City, and out of Spring, north of Houston. Todd Brown owns the company. Thirty years in the trade is the figure on the current site; the exact founding year goes here once Todd confirms it. [Founding year: to confirm.]

Most of that work came after a storm, hail across St. Louis County and Kansas City, hurricanes and straight-line wind around Spring and The Woodlands, which is where you learn to photograph everything, write everything down, and leave a lawn cleaner than you found it. We do not sell a roof when a repair will hold, the estimate is itemized so you can compare it to anyone else's, and the number you hear on the phone is the number on the paper.

Until all three are real, this block stays as a labelled placeholder, never filled with made-up names.

Questions people ask us.

Do you need to get on my roof to give me a price?
Yes, and only with your permission. We ask before the ladder goes up, photograph every slope, and show you the photos before we leave. If you would rather nobody went up, we measure from the ground and the photos, and the estimate says so.
How fast is the written estimate?
Inside the week, by email, itemized line by line, for your records. If you need it sooner, say so on the call and we move it up.
What happens after a hailstorm or a hurricane?
Call the nearest office. If water is coming in, a crew comes out the same day or the next morning to tarp the open spots. With your permission we photograph every slope, tell you what we saw, and put the repair or replacement in writing for your records. The photos and the estimate are yours. Nobody goes on the roof until you say so.
How long does a replacement take?
A single-family house with one layer of shingles takes one day with the full crew. Two layers, a steep pitch or a lot of dormers can push it to two. We tell you which before we start, and the roof is never left open overnight.
Are you licensed?
Neither Missouri nor Texas issues a state roofing contractor licence, so there is no state number to print. We are insured, the certificate is yours on request, and our local city and county registrations are on file. Ask for either on the first call.
